Melon were approached by ITM Communications who had recognised our approach and style as being reflective of the direction they envisaged for future marketing activity. Having understood their requirements and demonstrated extensive experience and expertise we were quickly awarded the contract to develop a refreshed brand, marketing collateral and website design.
We were challenged with retaining key components of the existing branding and service offering, whilst refreshing and evolving all marketing activities. Following a workshop meeting a direction and basic site map were conceived which would facilitate all requirements.
The new logo is intended to modernise and evolve the outgoing mark, ensuring continued brand recognition and future cross platform opportunities. In addition to refreshing the logo, a colour palette, fonts and basic style were formalised in a brand guidelines document.
These new assets were subsequently applied to internal documents, marketing materials and digital branding requirements, such as social media avatars, cover images and email signatures. The brand is currently being rolled out across office signage and vehicle livery.

By first restructuring the website architecture via workshop meetings and a wireframe prototype we ensured immediate impact, quick communication of key messages and easily navigated content. This ensured an effective, concise customer journey and fulfilling user experience.
A responsive, scrolling website template approach was elected to minimise clicks and ensure the best possible cross platform and multi-device experience. In addition a ‘super menu’ streamlines navigation whilst ensuring all content is within a single click. This innovative approach has proved very effective without impacting on traditional users, search engine indexing or ease of navigation.
The website utilises iconography to signpost and sub-brand key capabilities and vertical sectors. In addition visually engaging photography is applied where appropriate to bring pages to life and highlight key information.
Templates are clean and simple with enough animations and effects to ensure user engagement, clear communication and ease of use. By developing the website alongside the brand guidelines we were able to stress test the fundamentals of the branding process and ensure longevity.
The ITM marketing team are able to update and maintain the website via the powerful Engine CMS and understand user activity via Google Analytics.
We ran a mini competition to identify and select a suitable digital agency and after reaching out to five potential suppliers, Melon quickly positioned themselves as the preferred bidder through an effective demonstration of relevant expertise whilst offering overall value for money. Once we had awarded them with the project they were a joy to work with; flexible, creative and responsive with great attention to detail. I would certainly work with them again and definitely recommend them to others.
